I graduated from the Brian Utting School of Massage in 2002. I joined the field of massage therapy because I look at the human body as if it were an engine schematic. The daily aches and pains are symptoms where parts are not functioning as they should. I feel that the body is a machine and performs and changes based on the external and internal demands we put upon it. With that in mind, I believe massage is another way we can help the body perform by applying techniques to help the natural healing mechanisms take place.By listening to what my clients aches are and watching how they move as they explain them, allows me to picture the area that needs attention and devise the modalities that are best suited for helping the muscle and structure start to repair itself. Over the years I have worked in several bodywork environments, from chiropractic offices to high end spas to private practice. Through that background, it has helped me bring an analytical and treatment based focus to sessions and balance them out with Swedish and relaxation therapies.
