My first interest as a practitioner is to address structure in the client and to determine how treatment can affect the balance of structure to restore balance for overall health. After spending some fifteen years in construction in shipyards around the Seattle area, I became very aware of how the body could be wracked from its natural structural balance and how difficult it could be to work and wait for its own return after an “interference” of the activities of the day. Practiced touch has an opportunity to be a facilitating guide towards re-establishing functional balance and to allowing insight into the building of a consciousness of the ever-changing status of the dynamic balance held within the whole of the mind’s body. An awareness of this consciousness may be as an important a function as may be offered to the client and facilitated by the practiced hand. The value of balance in treatment extends to the trust continuum held within the ongoing professional client/practitioner relationship. When working with clients, I am always reminding myself to take pains and make effort to be a good listener in order to be sensitive to the greatest need.
Client Testimonials
“I have been seeing Dennis Corum, LMP for massage treatments for two years. I receive treatment for both shoulder and hip pain in addition to general therapy. Both the hip and shoulder pain have been greatly reduced due to the ongoing treatments. I now have more mobility in my shoulder and can sleep through the night without waking from the pain of rolling onto it. My hip pain is rarely there anymore.”“I recommend Dennis for anyone who wants a highly skilled and knowledgeable massage practitioner.”
